LAP BAND INDIANA

Hi All,

I'm new here, just joined! I'm hoping to have my surgery this summer. Can anyone who has recently had surgery tell me what to expect? How quickly were you able to return to work? How much post-op pain was there? Thanks!

I can only speak for myself but I can say it wasn't "painful" it was "uncomfortable". With the meds Dr. McEwen gives, it is all very tolerable. I had my surgery on a Wednesday and tried to return to work on that following Monday, that was definitely too soon for me. It was just too uncomfortable. I only made it through half the day that day but returned the following Monday and I was good. So, I was off a total of a week and a half. Good luck to you. Keep us updated!

Kristy,
What type of work do you do? I'm a factory worker, and it requires occasional lifting. I was wondering if your job required you to stand, lift or twist ??
Thanks In Advance, from the Newbie
