Thanks, I have had about five or six adjustments so far i'm ready for another one now. I done better good up until the last two months i have gained a few pounds back. I have found that i have to work at it all the time there is no letting up.
wow man you did good...I have only lost 40 pounds and have not lost any for 2 months...how many adjustments did you have..I have had 2...

The beginning
Well I guess I'll start with 36 years old male. I am 6'3 and i currently weigh 333 as May 12, 2008. I started on this journey in Nov of 07 when I first visted Dr McEwen
weighing in at 394. The insurance has held me up in getting the procedure done. With the help of Alvin and Cheryl I have stayed focus and have lossed the wieght. It's been a year for me being banded. I managed to keep off about 70 lbs. Still working on it....went up a few lbs over the Holidays. Still would like to drop another 30. So, how are YOU doing?????

- I had my surgery on March 18th. I am feeling so much better! I've lost 65 lbs. I'm below 230 now -- Never thought I make that! But now when I go by ice cream, any type of candy, anything (even fast food) I want it. This just started happening a week ago! I guess the "honeymoon period" is over darn it! Will you be at group next Thursday? I'm going to try to make it. I have to drive all the way from the airport, so depending on traffic. Cheryl says that there will be some patients there who are like over a year out and have lost over 100 lbs!

- Did you take your measurements at the beginning? Check them again. I bet you're losing inches (and gaining muscle)! I know it's hard not to lose. How's your water intake going? I'm thinking you get yours in don't you? Just keep up the GREAT work and soon enough it'll start falling off again!

Good Luck on your banding. I had mine Jan 31 of this year and have lost 53 lbs. so far. Enjoy the Indiana Surgery Center......they treat you like a 'king'. Great place. I was rasied in Morristown.....graduated MHS in 1973. A word of advice.....don't expect much benenfit from the band for the first month or two. It takes a month to heal and then I had to have 2 fills before I felt any restriction. Hang in there on the liquids.....it is tuff but, you can do it. I did and I work as a 'chef'.
